I've currently got a pair of 15x56 Diamondbacks. I want to add a second pair of 15's, but can't swing 2k for Swaro's.

What's an upgrade from the Diamondbacks but not over 1k, preferably even less?

I want to upgrade before CO Aug. Bighorn hunt.

The Meopta is more than 1k but side by side they're very close to the Swaro's.

It will take some looking but that's likely a good price for a clean used B1.

I picked up a pair of these last month. They don't suck.

Do you know much about their Thrive spotter? I was just looking at it and it seems like a great value. I have no idea about the clarity though and reviews are sparse.

For simply finding animals at a long distance the vortex Kiabab HD at 18x56 ain’t bad and can be found cheap. Although only comparing to swaro slc I can’t speak to them compared directly to others

how about ditching the diamondbacks and putting the money towards a better optic, maybe a used 15X Geovid or the GPO Doug suggests?

I'll probably have my wife, maybe daughter too along, maybe a friend, not sure yet, but I'll probably need more than the one pair.

No clue. I took a flyer after reading this and am enjoying them so far. There's a pair on offer in the classifieds here, BTW.

The ZeroTech’s are surprisingly good. Actually the only non Swaro/Leica/Meopta 15x binos that I’ve used that I don’t hate.

I’d just bite the bullet and grab a pair of Meoptas. I sold mine for $1150 a couple months ago when I picked up my NL’s. Sell the vortex to pay yourself back after you pick up the Meostars.
