I had been looking for a better option to carry my spotter and tripod forever. I had some ideas in my head similar but this is better than I expected. We worked over the high country pretty hard and I gotta say I love it.

Very functional, did not even notice it in the saddle, stayed tight, best of all protected my spotter and tripod. We rode thick brush, water, even did some pretty serious trotting/sprints and it worked perfect.

Oh man, no more swinging my leg over a tripod leg to mount up! Looks sweet man, and mule proof.
