I appreciate the prompt response. I think I'm leaning towards picking up an LR. It sounds like the better stock overall.

Is there any issue in getting a barrel channel inletted for a larger profile, like a sendero, and then putting a D18 in? Trying not to pigeon hole myself if I decide to throw a proof on my roughtech.

No, you can sand open the barrel channel relatively easily by hand, or have a smith use a mill for a lil cleaner appearance. I usually tape off the barrel channel and spray paint it black inside anyways.

Just did this with an A5 for my tikka. Go slow and measure til you get the look you want. Easy money.

There is no downside and considerable upside to extra room in the barrel channel.

Now that most of you have had a chance to put these to the test out in the field, how do you all like them?

Has the barrel channel inlet issue been resolved?

Are you able to get a cleaning rod down the barrel without removing the stock?

I’m eager to put in my order if you didn’t notice!

Really like mine. My Tikka is a 223 and it sees a lot of use. Very comfortable stock. Not sure about the barrel channel issue as this is the only Tikka Mountain Tracker LR I own. It's been fine so far, but I'm going to pull the factory CTR barrel and slap on a Proof carbon, so I will definitely need to open the barrel channel up.

I also have a Mountain Tracker LR for my Kelbly Nanook 300 PRC. Shot a buck with it this season and was able to spot my impact in the scope. Happy with the purchase and wouldn't be sad if more of them showed up in my safe somehow haha.
