Just got an email from Maven about the sale this weekend($200 gift card with any bino purchase) and they mentioned a spotting scope coming in early 2016. Anyone know what's coming from them? If they take care of business with the spotters like they did the binos they will have a winner I'm sure. I just picked up an ATX spotter or I would've been seriously interested in what they might have.

it was mentioned on a pod cast with them cant remember which one

sounded like they hinted at larger set of binos as well, I would guess some 15's, plus rifle scopes down the road

I emailed them a few months back asking if they were going to produce a 15x binocular. Their response was they plan to release them in the Spring of 2016.

When I called and asked if I could review the spotter during a September hunt they said they were done testing and starting the building phase.

If I remember correctly it was a 20x60x85. Do not quote me on that!

I asked about price and weight and they would not divulge any more information.

I too am waiting. I just bought a Slik tripod, and an Olympus Tough TG4. Just need the spotter to match the Maven B2 I have.

Is their glass that good? I'm thinking of buying the B3s now and picking up the 15's when they come out. What brand would they equate to?

Mavens closest competition in a 10x42 is probably the Razors or Conquest. I think the Maven is optically better than the Razor and equal to the Conquest. Mavens build quality is better than both. Maven B1 reminds me of the Leica Trinovid in color and contrast.

I'll be interested in hearing the reviews for the new spotter. I have no interest in a 80mm but hopefully a 65mm will soon follow.

I'm really wanting to order a pair of B2's. I'm kind of hesitant being they are such a new company. I keep thinking what if they aren't around in ten years when I need warranty work done. I've got a thousand dollars to spend. Based on my research they are hard to beat in that price range.

For your budget I'd really look hard at Meopta or the Cabelas Euro line.

I have a pair of b1 and b3. You won't regret the purchase.
