The RS 1.2 is a tough scope. But my latest one didn't survive the postal service in holiday season!
Arrived with the elevation turret locked up. There were some strange marks in the glass. Like the reticle got knocked loose or something.

Got ahold of maven right away. Sent the scope from Great Falls MT to lander on Wednesday and they got it today. Kind of cool to get an email saying they received it. They also asked for the tracking number.

Curious to see what was wrong with it and the resolution. Guessing they'll just replace it.

Super good service experience so far!!!

Maybe we need to up the standard of testing to see if scope can survive the postal service?

Looks like defective assembly to me. I'm pretty sure the RS1.2 has a glass etched reticle, so no way for it to look that bad unless it was installed like that.

AJ,
My only complaint was my repair took 9 months for them to get back to me. Instead of them just replacing it, they sent mine to California for an actual repair and then back.

I had an issue with my S1a spotter. They told me to ship it back to them and it was back in two weeks. It acted up again and after returning it to them, they asked if I would be OK with them replacing it!?!?

On my way home from an elk hunt in Idaho this fall, I decided to drive the 2 hours out of the way to go to Lander and see their headquarters. Worth the detour. Great people there.

Even though, I am an addicted Swarovski fan boy, Maven has impressed me to the point that I have a couple of their scopes along with the spotter and rangefinder. Highly recommend.

I haven't tried their rifle scopes yet, but I am a big fan of their spotters, the B2 and B3 binos (B1.2 as well), and I am running their rangefinder.

Aside from me screwing up my B2 9x45, they have all been great. And the warranty on my B2 was handled quick and with great communication.

I primarily use my Swarovski EL8.5x42 bino now, but still use my S1.2S spotter, a C3 8x42 bino (daughter's bino) and my RF1 rangefinder. They are all great. Would never have moved on from my B2 if I hadn't have purchased the ELs for such a good price. Very pleased with their quality and performance.
