Maven rs1.2 and sportsmatch how low is too low

I just picked up an RS1.2 at the northwest hunting expo. I want to mount it on a tikka t3x in a stocky’s VG. I had Hawkins hybrid low rings that did not give me enough space to move the scope forward enough for eye relief.
I tried sportsmatch T084 “which I prefer since they are on all of my other rifles”. The clearance from my carbon barrel to the scope is very tight, not touching. I can slide 1 piece of printer paper through but that same paper folded 3 times gets stuck.
Kind of long winded way of asking how low is too low when mounting a scope? Would you shoot it with .1 mill of clearance? It would be nice to move this scope to my other tikkas without changing rings.
If I have to get new rings anyone got a suggestion for the Maven, tikka, carbon barrel combo?

As long as it clears under all conditions it will be fine.

Personally I would allow enough clearance to run a scope cap or cover, at minimum.

That’s a good point. I usually use an action/scope cover combo but the neoprene cover is handy and would not be usable.
