Any insiders know when the next drop might be? I heard somewhere on here it got pushed to October. Any idea when in October? Too late and I'll have to buy a different scope, I'm running out of time.

I'm not quite the regard as others here slamming my $hit down on purpose (though I appreciate those who do), but I was out checking cameras on a steep, thickly brush-covered canyon when I failed to notice a 3 foot washout and slipped backwards landing on my scope. Damn.

Got back and rushed a quick 5-round zero check and it's right where it was before (a bit low and right within 0.1 MIL).

Happy camper.

I just got back from the first range day with the RS1.2 and here are some thoughts, nothing earth shattering but another data point.

The Reticle design is the best part of this scope. It’s really the best FFP hunting design I’ve seen.

The eye relief is generous. It could be because I’ve been shooting Nightforce so long but it’s longer and more forgiving.

I don’t love the tooless turret design because unscrewing the top half makes it too easy to rotate a 1/10 mil or more while getting it unlocked.

The scope could really use an integrated throw lever. I’ll order a Kestrel one soon but that should be a given on a scope like this.

It’s a really good scope and I see it living long in my fleet.

On a recent mountain hunt my pack and rifle went end over end then proceeded to clack a rock on the wind turret cover. I for some reason trusted it without confirmation which I would not have in the past. Shot today and was ~ 2/10 of a mil off to the right. For that violent of a spill I thought that was fantastic. I trust in my rifle setup with the Maven RS 1.2. My Leopold vx3hd was on a similar backcountry hunt the year prior and did not fare so well even without a hard tumble..

They recently gave me the heads up of 'mid' October.

So it would be as early as next week.

Not a gamble I'd want to take ...
If it doesn't get here in time I have no choice. Not cluttering up this thread but I've beat my mk5 off barricades and it has fallen over and I've never lost zero, even won matches with it. The testing truly shocks me on that one.

Sounds like it's worth keeping that one then!

Anyone know what throw lever this is? Maven just sells a big one I kinda like that this is fairly low profile.

Kestrel and it’s not cheap. Make sure to place it properly or it will take hide off your knuckles.

FYI everyone the RS1.2 2.5-15 - 44 is available in Black at the moment. Not sure how long it will be there, got the email yesterday and pulled the trigger this morning.
