Perfectly usable yes, but not as good as the Mavens in the few I’ve used.I have the maven and several 32x NX8s, there is zero eyebox issues. Glass is about the same as well.

I think he is talking about the 32X. You just said you’ve never shot one.Perfectly usable yes, but not as good as the Mavens in the few I’ve used.
Ah 10-4. Yeah in general NX8s are great scopes.I think he is talking about the 32X. You just said you’ve never shot one.
I still love that thing, still hasn't lost zero for me. Can't in good conscience recommend it yet. Need some more "n" after its shaky showing for Form, and the Leupold history.Hey now, you must have gotten rid of your 2-10 Mark4 I take it?The only time I waste 30 rounds of ammo zero’ing my mark4 is to shoot small 10 round groups 3x over…
I sold 3 Tenmiles to buy 3 Mavens, and I liked my tenmiles. The reticle difference in usability is night and day.Any reason to talk me out of the Maven and into either the NX8 2.5-20 or the Tenmile 3-18? On paper the Tenmile is pretty similar to the Maven; both FFP, both have an acceptable (to me) illuminated reticle, and neither have locking elevation turrets. The NX8 keeps standing out to me, albeit the heaviest on my list. The C_Does review of it is glowing, and the eyebox is really a non issue in the ~15x range. It too lacks locking turrets. If any of these had locking turrets that would push me in that direction. With my PRS discount on Eurooptic the Tenmile is $1592 and the NX8 is $1755. I'd be willing to pay the extra money if it was worth it, but I'm not sure the value is added there over the Maven.
Thank you, that hands on experience means a lot. I've never handled anything made by Trijicon, but I own a Maven RS2 that I'm happy with albeit have not pushed it yet, and a pair of 15x B5 binos that I adore. Everyone who looks through them is shocked, and many have never even heard of Maven. I'm two for two with the brand and I have no doubts I'll love the RS1.2; I just want to make sure I'm not leaving anything on the table as this build is going to become my primary hunting gun.I sold 3 Tenmiles to buy 3 Mavens, and I liked my tenmiles. YeaAlso looks like to build one out in custom colors it's only available in MOA?
How deep are you in RS 1.2s now? What are you going to do when the Rokscope comes out? This scope is a better hunting scope than the NX8. This is the current best MIL hunting reticle available in my opinion. Combine that with how robust it is, better glass than NX8, and better eye box/ it’s hard to beat right now for me.
I own 6 RS1.2s. TBD on Rokscope. How deep are you in RS 1.2s now? What are you going to do when the Rokscope comes out?![]()

The NX8 eyebox issues are overstated. That said, I don’t think they’re nearly as good for hunting as the Maven.I just picked up a few Maven RS1.2s and i am very happy with them. I have one last hunting rifle that needs a scope upgrade from a Vortex Viper and was kicking around a NX8 2.5-20. Do those have eye box issues? i have heard that from some people. Their specs say they are the same as the NX8 4-32s. Also looking at the creedo... am i wasting money with the other two and should i just get another RS1.2?
Thats good to hear since the Nx8 is x2 compared to the Maven in costTh

Bigger o-ring, small piece of electrical tape, or just building a check into your shot process.Has anyone come up with any practical ways to limit the elevation turret turning? Really the only thing holding me back is the lack of a locking turret. It’s going on a rifle that’s going to be carried into the backcountry on a pack.
