I dont see a north fork one, but looking at others the carbon fiber ones really arent enough lighter than an aluminum tube to make a difference, they still weigh 11oz to a pound depending on size.

Before that, I used a 1.25" diameter aluminum tube for my two piece 9ft rod. It has small eyelets, and nested neatly inside. I put a wood dowel in the end, and used it as my "trekking pole" while hiking, so it had two uses.
