Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 new model

You’ll be able to see the suppressor no matter what at the lowest power. It's a non issue though.

Thanks. I suppose I can wrap a .3" piece of foam around the suppressor on the identical .223 and see for myself. That extra recoil reduction is tempting for the .300wm.

Does anyone know of something similar to this that would work on the Rs1.2 ?
the maven notch is lower profile (measured at ~ 18mm x 4mm x 7mm) but the 4mm height tapers down so probably hard to get a solid purchase with a clamp style like that.
kestrel throw lever is available for $10 more.
if you find something that does work, i'd be interested in hearing about how you like it.

Has anyone tried the RS1.2 in the UM Tikka low rings with a 1.8" diameter suppressor (the TBAC Magnus line?)

This is for a .300 win mag build. Trying to decide if I want to try the Magnus S RR instead of an Ultra 7. Costs 1.4" in length, 6oz in weight, 0.3" of can diameter and 11 decibels at the shooters ear, and in return I would gain 65% recoil reduction instead of 9% (specs from TBAC data).

Ive got a rs1.2 in tikka lows looking down a magnus s rr. You can see the suppressor at low mag but not any where close to crosshairs. Maybe 5% of the sight picture? At high mag it goes away. I also have a silicone sleeve around the suppressor that adds 1/8” to the radius.
Long story short is it dont matter

How do you like that Magnus S RR?

I am a fan. Bout the same suppression as my ultra 5 but with considerably more recoil reduction. It has been at the end of my 6 creed for most of the spring so far and spotting impacts has been easy 250 yds and out prone. Can reliably spot impacts with a 10lb gun on a tripod sitting/standing 350 yards and beyond as well.
Suppression could be better and if I was only shooting 223-243 id maybe consider the non-braked versions but if your shooting magnums suppressed for hunting specifically I think it is hard to beat right now.

Anyone having ejection issues with this scope and tikkas / sportsmatch rings, brass hitting the windage knob and bouncing back into the chamber? I had some of that with the Maven on a different rifle, had to move it farther forward than I wanted for it to consistently clear. Got a Tikka coming and wondering if I should order a set of sportsmatch, or a rail for the low / medium rings I already have.

Anyone recommend the proper height rings with a Proof Sendero contour? Wasn't sure if low would clear or I need to bump up to medium. This would be either UM or Sportsmatch.

Hopefully hasn't already been answered, couldn't find it while searching.

T084 and UM Mediums should work fine.

For reference… Not my gun but this is a Trijicon 2.5-10x42 using UM Lows with a Sendero barrel. The Maven would likely still clear with lows but will be super close. I’d go with UM Mediums and see how they do.

Lows clear but it is close.

Damn, mine doesn't have near that much taper after the shank. Mine looks like it would hit the bell of that scope at that height.
Your barrel is a Tikka prefit. His barrel isn't. If you zoom into the photo, I can see just a touch of shank diameter thats bigger than the Tikka nose, so he's using a proof blank that wasn't original setup for Tikka tennon OD. Its either 1.200 or it was turned down a touch. I could be totally wrong, but thats what I'm seeing in the pictures.

That is a 1.20" shank blank vs a 1.135" tikka prefit, so maybe you are seeing the 0.0325" difference?
