Maven, Meopta or Zeiss spotting scope

One of my business partners has a Maven spotting scope. But he is thinking of selling it and getting a Zeiss Gavia or Meopta Meopro 80. He likes the maven but thinks he can do a little better without spending money for a Swaro. In my experience I think they are all pretty close and only one really better is the Kowa 77. But I’ve not used too many spotters so figured I’d check here for thoughts. I know he’s lurking.

I have both a meopta meopro hd 80 and the meostar s2 82. I just upgraded last year after a year with the meopro. havent posted the meopro for sale yet but would be willing to cut a heck of a deal.

I can’t speak for kupper, but the S2 was leaps and bounds better than the Meopro 80 when I had them side by side. The extra money for the S2 was justifiable in every way after looking at them both.

Meopta Meostar S2 82, and that price Doug posted above is good, unless you want to hold out for a used unit which do come up on here sometimes.
