These binos may not be in quite the same class but I wanted to ask about them anyway. I was going to buy a pair of C1s ($300) but found a deal on the BX4 ($400). If anyone has looked through them both I would like to know if the BX4 is worth $100 more than the C1.

If there is anything else I should consider <$400 let me know. I have nice 15s so I dont want to hate looking through whatever I get. I do feel like I need something smaller fairly soon so thats the budget for now. Will upgrade later if needed.

Well I did a lot of searching this morning and didnt find anything. Looks like someone else was wondering the same thing. Should have searched right before starting a new thread.

I compared the C.3 vs the BX4 in 12x50. The BX4 wins hands down. The Mavens are good for the money but the Leupolds are just a pleasure to use. The depth of field (in focus area) is much greater with the BX4, with the Mavens you use the focus knob a lot more. There is more color fringing on the Mavens but overrall sharpness is close. The BX4 has a wonderfully wide field of view too. Lastly the colors in the Mavens are more neutral/true to life whereas the Leupolds are more rich/saturated. I found the Leupold's for $100 more than the Mavens too so I'm sending my Maven demo back.
