Leupold BX4 Pro Guide Gen 2 vs Vortex Razor HD in 10x42

I’m shopping for some mid grade binos and narrowed it down to these two. Anybody had these two binos side by side? Is there a winner?

I’ve had the Leupold BX-4 Gen 2 beside the BX-5 Santiam in 10x42 and can’t tell enough difference to give the nod to the more expensive BX5’s.

Having the BX4’s beside the Vortex Razor HD’s I really can’t find a great difference between them either. Those BX4’s are super clear and bright for me. The Razor’s kinda look “dull “(compared to the BX4’s) and have an occasional glare on the lower edge when looking toward the east.

I can get either pair for $600 and trying to decide on the better pair for the money.

I was in the same situation, went with the BX-4 10x42 for about $150 less than the vortex by calling optics planet. Great clarity, weight, and size. No complaints on my end and they were a little optically better than my buddies GPO range finding binoculars, but that’s a long debate we can avoid as the built in RF binos are badass and probably worth the optical loss.
