Sorry if this has already been discussed, but looking for feedback/reviews on the maven b2s. These will be for a gift but looking to stay in that 1000 dollar ballpark or if anybody has different recommendations around that price point. The individual these will be going to is upgrading from some cheap vortex’s so I’m sure they’ll be fine just looking for people who have hands on experience, thanks.

I have the B2's 9x45 I do like them a lot but just got the vortex razor 12x50 to test out this year. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy any maven products again they was great just wanted to try something new this year

I have the 9x45s. They are great, excellent optical quality and very good low light performance. Only negative is that they are pretty big and heavy.

+1 for the Maven B2's.

Ive got the 11x b2. Had it since 2018. Been great. Spotting deer to 2+ miles. Elk to 3+. It's put meat in the freezer for me.

My set could use a refurb from my abuse. I just got the leica geovid pros. They are definitely a step up on clarity. But those b2's suited my eyes very well for weeks of glassing at a time.

I just sold my 9x B.2's after many years of use. They are awesome in that price range. My only two negatives when comparing them to the Swaro EL's I replaced them with are as follows:

1. Size and weight, they are pretty big and heavy for a 9 power bino compared to some of the top end stuff. That said, with a good bino harness it's not a huge issue. The EL's aren't the best in this category either, the NL's or Zeiss SFL's are going to be better here.

2. This is pretty nit picky but after using the Swaros for a while I got used to the depth of field on them. Going back to the mavens I noticed I had to fiddle with the focus a lot more looking at different distances. This never bothered me until I got used to the Swaros so it's not going to be an issue for someone coming from low end Vortex.

All that said, at first I was slightly disappointed in the Swaros when I got them because optically the Mavens were so close. There is a difference and the Swaro is better but it's also twice the price and I guess I expected a more profound difference. Point being, the Mavens are really good for the money. After extended use I definitely prefer the Swaro EL's, but the Mavens are great.

I own the 9x45 B2. Purchased new 2019. They’ve been awesome.
Spotted a bedded cow elk at 2800yds in mixed scrub last fall. Same trip, pre dawn light, I was able to see antlers in a herd of deer 250yds about 10 min before my friend could make them out with his uhd 12x50 razors.
From my back yard, when the atmospheric conditions are good, I can see individual cars parked at a ski resort 26 miles away. Can easily tell make, model, color.

They are heavy. 33oz.
Warranty from maven is great. They’ve always taken care of me.

Really the only Binoculars that I am seriously interested in upgrading to would be a set of NL pure, or geovid pro ranging binos.
