I’ve had a few of the Kentucky fire cured and I really enjoy them. The smell reminds me of smoke from the coal furnace in the old house I grew up in. Crazy as that sounds, they taste good. I like them in the fall/winter.

You really can’t go wrong with anything from drew estate. I’m a big fan of their cafe con leche brand when I’m in the mood for a flavored cigar. Good coffee flavor, but not nearly as strong as the flavor in their acid line
That is awesome man! Funny how the senses and memory work together to create an experience that can remind you of certain things. I am excited to try it out for sure. I am going to try a nub machiatto tomorrow morning with my coffee. Another customer recommended it and it seems like a good inexpensive smoke to enjoy for 15 minutes with my morning coffee, vs lighting up for an hour first thing.

I got into cigars about 10yrs ago. Still working through my stash that I acquired. If I had to pick one, Monte 4 or Punch Punch.

If I'm at the local shop though I'm going with an Oliva or Padron.

There are a couple good cigar forums and they often do trades where someone seeds it with 50 different cigars and then the pack gets sent around to different people and they will trade some out. Oftentimes there are some really heavy hitters in there and a ton of variety to try.

Quite the stash yah have there! I am definitely going to have to try out an oliva. There are a few that have caught my eye. Which is your favorite?

I may have to look into that! Sounds like a great way to try some new stuff and get some trading partners for sure. I used to trade a lot of beer and whiskey. Cigars would only be easier to ship I imagine.

Can I revive this thread? Just getting into cigars, but I have enjoyed a few recently. I tried a padron damaso, and a perdomo habano the last few days. Was more of a fan of the damaso. I am going to try a punch golden era this evening. Next, I think I will buy an Ashton maduro. Any suggestions for a newbie?
CAO makes several good cigars, I like the MX2 and LX2 the most. Ashton, I like the VSG. There are quite a few good ones, some of which have already been listed. Just start smoking them and find out what you like.

Personally, Acid cigars are nasty and I would rather not smoke than have one.

If you develop a taste for ligero, the milder ones stop being as enjoyable. I like ligeros and cigars I once thought had great flavor like Arturo Fuente no longer have enough flavor for me. It is similar to peated scotch. Talisker 18 and an Ashton VSG are a hard combo to beat though.

When I do smoke, I tend to have a pipe now as it is significantly cheaper for as good or better tobacco quality and I just don't smoke much anymore.

My favorites are the Drew Estate Liga Privada line. Special occasion cigars for me. The undercrowns are good too, easier to find and less money. Have come to really appreciate the AF Hemingway short stories too, easy half hour burn.

I'm relatively inexperienced with cigars but have probably had a dozen each of the last few years following a visit to Ybor City in Florida. It's one cigar shop after another. I've had a cigar here and there through the years and while I still haven't gotten crazy with it, I do like to have one occasionally around a campfire or sitting in the backyard relaxing with a beer (I'm not into brandy). I've not had enough of them to spit out many details and I'm more in the $10 to $15 dollar range. :)

I have had a Fat Bottom Betty that I liked but not seen one locally. I've had several that I've liked and a few that I didn't but I've not kept track very well.

Last weekend I tried two from Big Sky, a Yellowstone and a Bighorn. My preference between the two was the Yellowstone but the Bighorn grew on me as I smoked it.

Just dropping in to say that I am currently smoking a kentucky fire cured sweet Just a friend, and good golly this thing is delicious! Think I may have found my go to for a while! It is by far the smoothest thing I have ever smoked in my life. Definitely going to be buying a box of these. Just need to do it when I see some family back in Missouri, so Im not paying 50% sales tax to Colorado.

Just picked up a few to try from Cigarpage. Oliva, Illusione, Tatuaje, Padron. Grabbed some Dunbarton as well. Watch for the sales.

Is there an online site that you guys prefer to order from? I’ve picked up a few from local stores as needed but wouldn’t mind expanding into some of the brands mentioned here
