making 7mm 08 brass

Nosler is the only brass I seem to be able to find anywhere for 7mm 08. Not sure of the quality of the Nosler brass, seem to find mixed reviews. I am looking into necking down some Lapua or Peterson 308 or necking up some 260. Which is going to be the better bet? Thanks.

I necked down Lapua SRP 308 and it works fine. I run SRM primers in it.

Does the small rifle magnum primer change your loads, velocity, etc? Did you have to neck turn them?

I started my development with these with RL17, so don’t have a comparison to offer right now. They matched pretty closely to what I worked up on Quickload. Avg was 2,489 and QL was at 2,450. I had only tested a starting charge then got side tracked on something else, so don’t have a lot of data. I did not have to neck turn them, rifle is a stock Ruger American GoWild. I don’t have LRP Lapua to compare to either. I can check some other cases I have and see what’s close and maybe do a comparison on that, or compare to a regular SRP…
