Madison and cheap aren't synonymous unfortunately... might find some places outside of Madison a bit, but it's a growing college town on an ithsmus... buying up all the cheaper rentals by the city block, leveling them for upscale condos/apartments... growing vertically since it can't expand... surrounding communities (sun prairie, Waunakee, middleton, Mt Horeb, fitchburg all getting pricey, but might have better luck there.). Not sure what you're wanting for a commute.

There's management companies that deal with the rental aspect of things. Otherwise, the hospital might have some insight on rentals for incoming residents.

Yeah. Unfortunately I'm not smart enough to be a Dr. Doing a vascular ultrasound internship and they advised they don't have anything to help me in my predicament. I suppose I could always contact HR at the hospital and see where they point me

What's that like 30 minutes? My shifts would start at 7 so that's really not much different from what I drive daily already

My current city is a smaller town outside of Sioux Falls SD. So yeah I like smalleresk. What is Oregon WI like?

Have you tried looking on the online newspaper sites? Wisconsin State Journal and The Ishtmus used to have rental sections.

Oregon is nice and it's right on HY 14 which is now a freeway. 10-15 minutes and your in Madison.

I lived in Oregon right next to Foxborough golf course. I loved it as i was close enough to my work in Madison but far enough away from it all. Also you can get into Madison without having to deal with the belt line. Brooklyn which is another few miles south of Oregon is smaller still. When I lived in Madison "cheap" but quality apartments were in Verona and DeForest, not sure that's the case anymore.
