is it though? i just got mine in the mail yesterday and its going to need some work in the same places to get it to work. its actually really not even that close to being able to fit. genuinely asking the question as this is my first aftermarket stockUpdate on the M70, after first trip to the range it was clear something wasn’t right with the bedding/stress in the action, POI was high right and erratic and I noticed later (duh) that the only two areas touching the stock other than the sides in some places were the little oval tang behind the rear action screw ‘block’/intended tang bearing area and the recoil lug itself wedged between front and back surfaces of the lug recess. So lots of stress when torqued down and it showed on paper. Shooting this gun with RokStok was awesome though, makes the 7-08 pushing 162’s feel like a 243.
Bedding it is! Pretty unreasonable I suppose to think a design with so many iterations and revisions over the years would be able to have a drop in fit with no work to make it right, so no big deal. Will update with post bedding results, I think it’s going to turn out great at end of day.

What's the combo that does fit as is then? They're test fitting it to somethingYes, it is unreasonable. There are 7-8 different designs that I know of- and I don’t have that much experience with them comparatively. It is unrealistic to make an inlet for every combination available.

seems like its probably a hybrid then. mine is a portugal extreme weather and only about 5-6 years old which i believe hasn't changedI’m not positive, but I believe it is the current production M70’s. But it’s also possible that they are a hybrid inlet that is set to allow fitting to all.
