The packs are custom built are they not? Can you order a DT series pack with the wraptech lumbar pad instead of the pads that come stock?

Here's an update. The WrapTech pad fills out the standard pad 'pouch' perfectly because it's about 1/2" to 3/4" taller and wider, despite being about 40% thinner. There are no wrinkles or loose spots to rub on your lower back, the material is just as tight as it was with the standard pad.

Right now I have to say it feels perfect for me. I'm going to do some testing and I'll report back in a week or two.
