I climbed a mountain yesterday wearing my crispi guides and really, the support just isn’t there. The he boots feel good and all but I was realizing that they just don’t give me the ankle stability I need. For me they will be used for trail hiking.
It's funny how different people's bodies are. The Kenais almost have too much ankle support for me.

I have Tibets, Rangers, Camino LL, and Renegades. I have tried 3 different Crispis with no success. The Lowas work better for me.

Packing the trusty Lowa Tibet right now for tomorrow’s trip to Kodiak. I have three pairs of Tibets - low rise, medium, and high rise. I take the pair that I anticipate the elevation need. This trip I anticipate a lot of side hilling, so high rise it is. Three coatings of Nikwax, a pair of micro spikes, and off we go again.
Go with what you know. I know these, they are my friends.
