Good question, That one was before my time, a lot of the decision making comes from what is/isn't selling in the US market vs. our EU manufacturing/distro.Welcome aboard. Any reason the Vajolet was so short lived? I am at the point where I feel when I find one of your boots that I love I just need to buy three pairs at the same time, but as soon as I have enough miles to confirm the boot works, you've obsoleted the boot and getting my hands on another pair.
The newer vibram soles haven't had that feedback. I picked up a set of the Randir's this year, lighter than the Ranger and Tibet, but still decently stiff, I would say stiffer than my older Crispi Nevada's for sure. The renegade is a go-to standard with a moderately stiff sole, but one thing I am pushing for is more mid-stiff boots on our end.I loved my Tibet, unless it was icy and then they were darn right scary and slippery. This was a long time ago too and I recall them coming out with a newer outsole that had a material in the lugs to make them more secure in the icy conditions.
If I wanted something simlar to that boot, but lighter weight, what would you recommend I investigate? Older I get, the less I want a really stiff boot, especially at higher weight.

I'd love to, but, they don't let me make those types of decisions.Become a sponsor?
Check out the Caminos. I have them with GTX and leather lined. The leather lined are my favorite boots.I loved my Tibet, unless it was icy and then they were darn right scary and slippery.
