Give Steve a call. I bought my boots from them earlier this year and will now be a customer for life. He's very knowledgable and will answer all your questions. Good guy to talk with as well.

Oh yea, Steve is a hoot. I talked with them mid summer and bought a pair of Lowa Hunters. I could not say enough good things about Lathrop and Sons, and I too will be a customer for life. Just wish I had more money, I would buy two pairs of boots from him right now! I am pretty sold on Lowa boots as well (atleast this pair).

My initial oberservation of them just looking at them in hand (I realize doesn't really mean much) is that they certainly felt stiff enough, good lacing system, and very lightweight. But they were in size huge (12) can't say how they felt on my feet. Hoping to give them a whirl....we'll see.

Basically, they just look and feel purdy, but until I get a pair to use them to see if they agree with my feet its all speculation on my part.

They look very similar to all the other Lowa GTX boots other than the color. I wonder if there are any differences? I used Lowa Vajolet's this year and was very happy with their performance and weight.

There's a long story that goes along with these boots....

I'm using them now and tested them for LS when they were deciding on a flagship boot.

I'll post more when back at camp.

I used my Lowa Rangers Many Many Miles this season and have nothing but great things to say about them. Lowa will be my boot of choice in the future once I run these Rangers into the ground..... (time will tell how long that takes)

Yep. That is the exact boot I was referring to. I have logged over 150 days in my LOWA Hunters since Aug. Not sure on the miles, over 400 easily. Covered 1.4 million acres in them in Northeast WA. They are going to be warrantied by Lowa through LS. I might try to get the LS Lowa model. Or spring for my original hunters AND the LS model.

Wish I was able to help test these things for them...Could have really beat them in cruising timber this summer and fall.

Excited to hear your thoughts Aron. I am wondering if I really need the 200grams on insulated in my Hunter GTX's, or if I can rock this new boot with no insulation.

Aron, I'm wondering about these boots? How do they compare with the Hanwag Mt Lights? I posted about these on another thread before I found this one.

How much lighter than the original Cevedales are they? I have found conflicting info online about the weight of the originals. What else is different?
