I've had a pair of pronghorns for about ten years and they are still kicking. But do to my lack of leather care they are seriously cracked, and leak. While I still wear them a lot, (they have got to have over 500 miles on them) I wouldn't wear them if it's wet or with dew. I'm going to take way better care for my next pair of boots so I don't mind spending $300 if they last another ten years.
