Thanks @Lawnboi I hand carry my rifle a lot, so I don’t want an ARCA rail, but I recognize that it’s a net gain for shooting off a tripod and the ability to swap my tripod, bipod, etc.

If you want to be able to hook up to a tripod without taking off your bipod then the area 419 is too short. Really need around 5.5” for both for me Atleast with an atlas with rrs mount.

They also have a 10”. But they are completely flat and I’m worried about wobble on the rounded stocks, particularly at the fore end where the bipod will be mounted. The SRS provides the most surface contact and theoretically should be the most stable, but it’s also the most obtrusive.

With a flat rail, just bed it to the stock the same way you would bed a stock to an action. Release compound on the stock, epoxy on the rail. Tighten, let dry, remove, clean stock, reinstall. It’s easy and makes the rail rock solid. It’s also better for your stock longevity since the T nuts aren’t going to be rocking back and forth.

I’ve never owned an Area 419 rail but just based off of specs from both manufacturer’s websites, the Henderson hunter rail is shorter, lighter and slimmer. Mine lock up perfectly with the Anvil and there’s is zero slippage under recoil.

Sorry, I may just be incompetent with website navigation: but where are you seeing the specs on both websites (other than length)? I’d like to compare them.

No worries. Just read the description on Henderson’s website:

And then a combination of description and additional information tabs on 419’s website:

If you go the Henderson route and don’t like it, hit me up and I’ll buy it from you. I would eventually like one on every rifle I own.
