Hey, it’s a long shot but if you were hunting in Central Oregon (grizzly unit) last week and lost a nice frame pack, we found one. Obviously can’t just give 100% of the details, but pm me or reply with the make/model/color and some idea of the contents and I/my friends will get it back to the rightful owner.

Ya sure someone didn't just stash it there? that guy is prolly cussing you out for stealing it. I came across a game hauler with wheels on it before in the middle of the woods...

The bushmen of the kalahari are sympathetic to this perspective. If they come across a tool, bow, or other personal item they will never take it because they know it belongs to someone else and surely the person will return to get it. They will also never take all of the honey they find or water they have stashed.

Wasn’t in the middle of the woods-it was by a trailhead/road. Was there in the morning when we arrived, and still there when we got back to the truck in the evening. We did leave a note with our camp location in place.

If it was in the woods I would have left it alone, thinking someone may have dropped it for a stalk or something. Might’ve put some flagging on it and marked it on onx, but I wouldn’t have moved it then. In this case it just seemed really weird/out of place, like someone had forgotten it when they were loading their rig to leave

posting on one of the Oregon hunting Facebook groups might help also. With Grizzly being one of the last General units. there is no shortage of possible people to have lost it :)
