Looking to get into bow hunting, and I’m purely in the learning phase. Podcast recommendations?

I listen to JZ's podcast, and Truth from the Stand. TFTS is relatable to me as the guy is a public land hunter in PA and regularly has public land killers on from CT, NH, VT, and ME where the struggle is real, but they have success. A little ad heavy though which is a major turnoff for me, but I get through it!

Nock On podcast with John Dudley is a good one.
Wired to Hunt with Mark Kenyon and Tony Peterson is bow oriented/whitetail oriented.
Working Class Bowhunter is pretty good.
The Hunting Public have a podcast I enjoy listening to.
There's not a ton that are just archery based but these will get you started in the right direction.

The Southern Outdoorsmen have several good episodes on bow hunting the past couple of months.

I’m not a bow hunter but remi gives some good advice on Live Wild.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on podcasts specifically on October mule deer? I hunt the general season in Washington and it’s hard to find good podcasts about the toughest time to kill deer. I’ve listened to everything about these topics on Rokcast, Big Hunt Guys, Live Wild, Hunt Backcountry, Hunt West, Mindful Hunter, PNWild, and Samong Yang podcast.. I drive a lot for work so am always looking for new content. Thanks

I’ve quit listening to most podcasts because they are full of ego and regurgitating the same few guests and points over and over. With that said, the Dirty Giants podcast is great in my opinion. You can hear the love for all things mule deer in his voice every episode while he listens to his guests stories.

I also appreciate that it is the only podcast I’ve found more geared towards desert deer/the SW.

I would also suggest Nock On podcast - start at episode 1. It’s probably the best “ all archery” podcast. Eastman’s Life of a Bowhunter is decent - I like Dan more than Brian but both give solid advice. Corey Jacobsen does a decent pod with Randy Newberg ( Elk Talk), but is less archery focused. Lots of information about hunting in general applies to making you a better archery hunter- like Remi’s Live Wild and sometimes the Born and Raised outdoors podcast. Makes long drives mush easier to handle

Brian Barney host eastmans elevated and co-hosts life of a bowhunter with Dan Pickar. Great wealth of knowledge between those two! Mindful hunter has great gear break downs and reviews not strictly archery but hunting gear in general. Go-hunt pod is good for app deadlines or new rules and regs. It’s a saturated market so there is a lot of content out there

Podcasts regarding bow hunting or hunting in general are hard to listen to if you are dude who's put in the time and learned how to hunt from trial and error... It's the same ole sheet. Just search "Bow Hunting" on your podcast app. Or better yet, shoot your bow every day, go to your local public land, and scout then hunt.

You'll look back in a couple years and think to yourself... I can't believe I hunted at that spot when I started hunting here... It's really that simple. There are no shortcuts Cuz

Brian Barney does Eastman's elevated and he co-hosts life of a bowhunter. Dude is a straight up killer with his bow

No Doubt Brian is at the top of my list - if big bulls and bucks are in your future - I've gotten more from his podcast than any other.
Lots of other good ones out there as well from technical advice to woodsmanship to practical hunting scenarios.

Buy all the Whitetail madness and dream season DVD's from the Drurys. Link is below. dirt cheap on there. might need to dig on the interwebs to find all of them. Buy a DVD player if you don't have one or know what one is and hook it to your tv.
Also, search Bill Winke Midwest Whitetail.
For me the Drurys and Bill Winke were some of first ones that actually were putting in the work and helped through their videos to explain the things they had learned through their experiences.
Before them was just a lot of "Monster Bucks" where they were hunting either bought deer or spoon fed on $ hunts.
Podcasts are somewhat boring to me and dont actually show you visuals.

the Hunting Public youtube videos are a good resource. they do a lot of hunting in different scenarios with relatively modest equipment, and are usually pretty reasonable with their shots and tactics. They have a podcast as well.

Some of the other podcasts and content out there are more technical than necessary, especially for a beginner. it doesn't need to be complicated!

Learning to hunt or learning to shoot?

John Dudley has his school of nock on YouTube, follow it or find a local coach.

Hunting wise there are a ridiculous amount of places to “learn” to hunt on YouTube and podcast, I suggest going out and hunting!
