I’m thinking about taking the plunge on big eyes, but I want to stay in the under $1k range. I’ve read everything I can find about these C.4’s, which isn’t much. I’m hoping you guys have some hours behind these by now and I want to hear your thoughts on them vs the B.5’s, Meoptas and Kaibabs.

I can't speak to the Mavens but comparing the Kaibabs to the Meoptas is night and day. The Meoptas (B1 not even b1+) are much clearer and the eye strain and eye relief are in another class all together. Pass on the Kaibabs.

I upgraded from Vortex last year, I bought mine used (basically new) on here for right about a grand.

Hmmm... I'm curious how they measured that exit pupil. 5.6mm doesn't pass the sniff test here.

There are other threads if you search for them.

@Ryan Avery reviewed the 18x56 here: https://www.rokslide.com/the-maven-b-5-18x56-binoculars/

Those are the B5’s, I’m looking at the C.4’s. I’ve read everything there is to read on these forums and all is promising but there just isn’t much.

Still waiting to see one if you optics nerds post up a good comparison/review video or post on the C.4’s. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger as most of my big eye glassing will be in the middle of the day I presume, as my SLC 10’s will stay on my chest. I’m also stuck on the 15 or 18x decision. My gut says 15’s, but I’ve read the field of view is similar?
