Trying to decide on the best rifle for Left Hand in 7mm prc. I have heard and read bad reviews on fierce. Any input or help would be awesome as being left handed we are limited ti brands and choices. I know they make Fierce, Savage, Bergara, Christensen, Weatherby, and CVA. Trying to stay within a $2500 range
Thanks

Which Savage? Also, if you are considering a stock change in the future, maybe look if left hand is available in the brand you are interested in.

Decent chance Tikka will make them, you may want to wait. But, you could easily get a great barrel made and screwed onto something.

I made a lefty tikka 7prc with a lefty tikka 7rm and 24in carbon six barrel and pure precision altitude stock. Still breaking it in, <20 shots on it.

I have a Fierce rifle 7mm prc (carbon barrel, stainless action) that shoots well. We purchased last summer and it took 2 months longer than expected after placing order. Very poor communication on ship date as multiple inquiries after the 'arrival' date passed were answered with complete silence from Fierce.

The 'turret' and cartridge information we paid $500 for was absolutely worthless. There was no data on best cartridge, etc. We ordered through Scheel's and were hoping if we had a 'lemon' as many have written about that Scheel's would ultimately refund our purchase if it wouldn't shoot and Fierce refused to correct the problem (that was a concern based on reviews).

Once we actually received the rifle - life was good. It shoots great! The rifle itself has a nice smooth action, is light, and shoots very well. We are routinely getting 0.6 MOA or better with factory ammo.

We made a mistake in selecting/paying for the $500 option for Fierce folks to shoot the rifle, determine best cartridge for the rifle, etc. That option was a total flop and useless (no data was provided other than 3 rounds on a target and a single cartridge data based upon those 3 rounds).

All things considered for a left handed shooter, I would buy it again with some subtle changes on the actual order. Will be fun to hear which route you choose!

Going through this right now with my dad. Thought about the Bergara wilderness model, but leaning towards a Tikka action and a 20” carbon pre-fit for him. If you have $2,500, you could put together a nice Tikka.

Maybe Tikka will drop a 7 PRC LH stainless threaded from the factory this year, but for some, the opportunity cost may not be worth the wait.

Just put together my first rifle and went with a Savage Trail Hunter lite. Cross dominant so I figured I’d just learn to shoot left handed. Fairly budget friendly since the cost of the rifle is so low, the Oryx chassis isn’t too prohibitive, and I picked up a used scope here for $200. It shoots pretty well, the second image is the 21st-32 shots at 100 from the rifle (and the same amount I’ve ever shot with a rifle). It shoots better than my capabilities having never shot a rifle before. The action is ok, I have nothing else to compare it to but it seems to clumsily feed sometimes. The knob on the handle is tiny and I couldn’t grip it without my knuckles hitting the scope so I added that temporary clamp on knob while I have a new handle and knob cerakoted. Mine is a 6.5cm though. Once I get a bit more experienced I’ll be adding a 7prc. Not sure of what I’ll go with though. I’ve always been eyeing Weatherby high country or backcountry.

For that amount of money build one.
Kelblys atlas lite/ Zermatt origin $1000
Stockys VG on sale $500 shipped
Preferred/McGowan/criterion prefit-$550
Trigger tech primary -$150
Your choice of bottom metal $200
Add $130 for a magazine if going m5

Your in a full custom for under $2500. You can get either one of those actions as a barrelled action already head spaced. Going this route you can change anything down the road as you are in the 700 foot print and the heart of the rifle is a custom action you won't outgrow.
