Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some feedback from some NL 10 owners. Do you all like the choice you made? Or do you wish you would have went with the 12s? Have you spent any time looking through both in the field and like the FOV & other advantages? Any feedback about your experience would be helpful!

The 10's are where it's at IMO. . Once you start using those every other binocular I've tried since feels like you have tunnel vision. I can't imagine wanting more magnification in a general purpose bino. The ability to use them one handed, especially during archery, for a quick glance is a huge benefit as is the steadier image when using 2 hands. If I need more power I'll bring the 15s or use the spotter.

Having gone through the same dilemma of deciding between the 10s or 12s, I eventually settled on the 10s. I compared the two NLs extensively, and then threw some EL 12x50 and Razor UHD 12x50 into the mix. What I noticed was that the 10x NL looked like the same power magnification as the EL 12, due to a better clarity in the NL. The Razor UHD got eliminated right away due to feeling like looking through a tunnel.

The NL 12s are great, but to me I liked the FOV and the easier and more forgiving eye box (no blackouts) of the 10 NL better. I feel there’s nothing I’d miss with how clear and bright this glass is. I can also hold the 10s steadier than the 12s when hand holding.

I live in Montana and do a fair mix of long open glassing for antelope and mule deer, but also hunt in the dense timber and tight mountain basins and feel the 10x with the large FOV is the best glass for my scenarios.

Good luck on your decision, but I’d take some personal factors into consideration when picking glass.
