Anybody have experience with a quality everyday carry (EDC) backpack that can be used for approximately 2 days on the road? Preferably something that is a carry-on approved when not packing and without a waist belt.

Thank you in advance.

I'd look hard at the Kifaru Antero 2. I ditched it as an EDC bag because, for my needs, it was too large a bag. It has the ability to use a waist belt but it is optional.

Plenty of room for 2 or 3 days of road gear unless you pack heavy and it was specifically designed to be TSA compliant

What are you wanting to carry?
Rough idea on size of the pack?

Check out AER packs.
When traveling, a few days worth of clothes and other essentials. I'm looking for a balance between something that you can use daily, two days traveling and concealing a FA while in town.

I am a big fan of evergoods. Especially if you need something that blends in to the urban office environment reasonably well. I use the civic half zip for EDC. The CTB 26 is definitely better suited for one bag travel.
