Looking for Inpute on new 2-10x42 SFP scope for hunting.

The best choice: Nightforce NXS 2-10x42

Second best choice: Nightforce SHV 3-10x42

Third best choice: Trijicon of your choosing or perhaps a Schmidt and Bender (if you can find one)1.5-6x42.

Fourth best choice: there is nothing below this point worth considering. Most all else is big box store junk. Stick with the top three.

I would avoid meopta personally I have a meotac that has a parallax issue and can't get in touch with them about fixing it.

This is the right answer. The op doesn't seem to be listening to the advise offered. If you don't like the price buy used, I'd have more confidence in a used scope listed above than the options you (op) keep mentioning.
You seem to not be limited by budget but have an emotional reaction based on your interpretation of value.
Yes an nxs is worth 2.5 times a viper, use would prove that to you. An shv would be a great compromise and a functional improvement to the scopes you have listed. When the cheap scopes fail you'll end up replacing them anyway might as well cut the frustration and wasted money and buy something proven to function when it matters. A thread like this where advice is asked for, given, and then disregarded always makes me chuckle.

Money isnt and issue, but I just find it hard to justify the price different when its literally going to be used for close range white tail hunting. Especially being in canada. The mark up is insane right now.
The SHV 3-10 is a great scope for price. Nothing fancy glass wise, but reticle is usable and if you want to dial it’s there. My only complaint is lack of zero stop but 3d printer can spin up a friction ring in no time.

If abused the hell out of that scope horseback chasing bears and lions.

I think I have narrowed it down to 2 options. The Meopta Optica 2.5-15x44 and the Torric UHD 2.5-15x44. These both kinda check all my boxes and have great simple illuminates rericles. I can get the Meopta for just under 1100 after tax and the Torric around 1300 after tax.

What do you guys think about these two? I have looked at some other options but I'm not a fan of the busy reticles from some other brands. Also this is going on a 7mm rem mag X bolt
Nope on a rope. Meopta lacks quality customer service. Tract has shown blatant disregard and/or misunderstanding of the market on this very website.

People here have repeatedly recommended scopes that actually work. You’d do well to listen to those recommendations. You need not continue to wrack your brain.

For a SFP duplex scope, the SHV has been good for me so far. It's rock solid and meets all your other criteria. My only very minor complaint is I could do without the illumination, but that's just me.

If they'd get the eye relief out to 4+ inches and ditch the illumination in the duplex, it would be great.
