I'm looking into booking a transporter for a drop hunt and was wondering if anyone used BRA in '22 or '23 and would be willing to share their experience. Thanks for your time!

Well you've caught BRA and Wright Air in a transition period, as Wright Air bought out BRA last year and this year was their first go at the kinks. I'd wait one more year to get solid critical feedback on operations IMO.

Surprised to hear they've been bought out! All of my recent correspondence with BRA has still been with Judy and Jay.

There's a reason for that but that explanation should come from Judy. Just given ya a heads up from the outside loop.

We were scheduled to fly with BRA in August, 4 days before they canceled our trip due to a crashed plane and another in repair, Judy shipped our gear back at there expense and gave our deposit back. Wright also gave us a full refund .They apoligized and shit happens I know .
Sure sucked to plan for 11/2yrs to cancel us when we were already in Alaska.
Wondering what has happen being Wright has bought them out?

Following up to see if anyone has flown with them under the new ownership - any info would be much appreciated.

We flew with BRA in 2018 and 2022, both times we were cared for and no major issues. There will always be some small issues, it's just the logistics of that area of the world and the nature of remote adventure. Be patient.

2018 they were a big game transporter, 2022 they were an air taxi. There are some differences, and what they are legally allowed to offer or do. Do yourself a favor and look up the differences, and be prepared, this will make your trip more enjoyable and with less surprises.

We had a fantastic trip, even though we lost 2 days on the front side due to weather. We made the best of it in Bettles and had fun.

Be aware of regulation restrictions and take a look at herd numbers so you know exactly what you are getting into.

That being said, I and my group would go with them again no problem.
