Hey guys,

I’ve mentioned the trip before but we’re finally on our way! My wife and I are moving west to an underetermined location but first we’re spending the next 2 months touring MT, ID, WA, OR, WY, and CO.

We’ll be in Bozeman for the Stone Glacier BBQ on the 6th and I’m looking to book a fishing guide in the area a few days before.

For those that have done it which river would you suggest fishing? Who would you hire? Drift boat would be preferable.

Thanks!

Pat

P.S. if you’d like to follow along I made an Instagram for the trip KellysGoWest it’ll just be pics and comments on the trip no product placement etc.

Kurt Dehmer is a great Bozeman area outfitter. You can book with him or one of his guides at Triple D Outfitting (406) 581-6644.

I would just let your guide tell you which river is fishing the best for your trip. Any one of the legendary local rivers is going to be a great choice.

Jason Corbin's On the Fly Guiding. Young guide with a lot of experience. He does wading, drift boat, or raft. Highly, highly recommend him.

Never used a guide but the guys at Blue Ribbon Flies in Yellowstone have always been good to me when I go there. They do some guiding but you would be out of Bozeman a little bit.

Any of the above work, plus you can call The River's Edge and set up a trip. As above, the guides will know what's fishing best when you arrive. The Yellowstone is a great long day trip when it's down. Was way high not too long ago.
