There has been quite a few moose sightings in SE MT this year. Evan have a Region 7 moose tag now.

Not exactly a lot of them. A good population on the Yellowstone near the ND boarder, but in most of SE MT it is often years between sightings, but this year is and exception. I have lived here for nearly 60 years, spent countless hours in the hills and this one is the first I have seen here. Less than a 100 yards from my house.

This was a surprise poked head over hill and there he was 100 yards away

Nevada just issued it's first moose tag.

Nevada and moose aren't something you think about together.

But, I suspect, we'll be seeing more of this as wolves pressure them more in their more normal regions.
