Longer ATA for a tall hunter

Has anybody here shot or shoot the PSE Beast EXT, Hoyt XL, or Elite 37? I'm thinking of getting a new bow and being a taller hunter I'm thinking of getting one that has the longer ATA measurement. I shoot a smaller ATA now and want to get something more comfortable for my 6'8" frame.

What's your draw length? I just got the Double XL and had the Freak SP before it. IMO a longer ata is always better for us Knuckle draggers. Main reason being string angle.

I haven't shot those 3 but my buddy who is about the same height as you just got the double XL. I went with him to test bows and he shot the 3 you mentioned.

I shoot an old Bowtech 101st airborne. ATA is 36.25" I believe. I have no desire for a shorter bow. It may seem long to some, but seems small to me being used to shooting a recurve.

I have a slightly shorter draw length at 31" (6'5") and went with the Defiant 34 as it was the most comfortable for me. Full disclosure that I am new to archery, but I shot the Elite 35 and a PSE Beast when I was shopping last year. The Elite 35 came in a close second.

I'm 6'4 with a 31.5 in draw. I shot the boss and an elite 35, i picked the defiant 34 out of the three. The only down side for me with the double xl is I was on the lower side of its draw length range so it wouldn't perform as well. if I was at a 32.5 dl I would have bought it. I didn't get to shoot the double xl as none of my local shops are bringing it in. I assume it shoots very similar as the defiant 34 as the design is similar. Im really happy with the bow I got.

How would you compare the Double XL to the freak SP? I shoot the Freak now.

I tried the Beast and didn't care as much for it as my Freak SP for whatever reason. Maybe it just needed some tuning to my preferences????
