I haven't been to a movie in a few years, so my wife was surprised when I grabbed her and took her. Well worth watching. These guys are heros and it's a great way to honor them

I was on QRF a few times but I was out of there in 2004. I also seen the movie. Those seals are a lot TOUGHER than this Army grunt! It also shows me how we as Americans worship the wrong hero's like Kanye West who thinks being on stage is just like going to war!! What an ASS!!

I was nervous about the movie, but they did it justice. If you haven't read the book, do it! Read service by Marcus Luttrell as well...

Read the book and cried like a baby! Made me feel like an undeserving civilian pussy. Every American should read that story. We'd be a better country and much more appreciative of our warriors.

I too went and saw the movie. I thought it was a very good movie. It makes me think that, as a whole, we don't treat our veterans the way they deserve to be treated. I too thought it was very sobering in the fact that the bond those men shared was so strong that they really did trust each-other with their lives. I havent read the book but plan on it. It also reinforces the notion that we as Americans take for granted everything we have. I plan on doing more to not only stay grounded, but help out veterans as much as I can.

Thank you to everyone on here that has served and sacrificed so that the rest of us can have the freedoms we have.

Very well said, and I agree 100%.

I have read both of his books and saw the movie Friday. I have never witnessed a more somber group of people leaving a movie theater. Both books are great as well as the movie. Shows what our troops do while we are at home sleeping in our warm beds or out enjoying ourselves hunting. Many thanks to our Vets. I also cried the first time I read the first book. I like the fact that the movie showed these guys are more then just soldiers. It showed them with kids, wives, and other loved ones. I hope this moves people to reach out to vets in need like others have stated.

God bless my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Arms, remember you are not alone and your service and sacrifice are appreciated. Read the book, not sure if I'm ready to see the movie. For those of us who have been there, war is hell. If the people that made war, fought them, there would be more peace.

I served at the Air Force Theater Hospital on Balad AB in 2005 during the push in Ramadi. Sobering experience to say the least. We took a lot of indirect fire and our QRF guys were a god send for sure! Tons of respect for them.

Yes, thanks for our vets and those who are serving now! They don't get the thanks they deserve, even from our "commander in chief" who decided to give our money not to our vets and their benefits, but to a few months of unemployment benefits. Go figure...
