Hey guys I'm new to elk hunting. I have a last minute elk tag for the Lolo. I already know it's not the best tag and there are predator issues, but unfortunately it's where I'm stuck hunting this year. Any advice from anyone that's hunted it? Just trying ti make the best of it and figure out where to set up drop camp. I have actually heard of monster bulls being taken from the Lolo it's just knowing how to hunt. Maybe hunting along the borders may be best? I don't have time for much scouting as I live 1500 miles away. I also have a wolf and a bear tag i so will be taking advantage of that as well on this hunt. I'm trying to find the most open areas in the Lolo and I've heard it's extremely thick and brushy

Feeding areas near thick brushy hell as far from any road as possible. Think like a cow and the bulls will be in tow. When you call....don't call loud, as quiet as you can will be 1000x better than loud.
