So far my UM Tikka direct mount rings, and a set of NF ultralite 30mm 4 screws have held zero on decent impacts, not 36" tho.Following
I’d be interested to see if these hold upI will say, the ARC M-Brace are the easiest ring ever to mount a scope in. Very easy to get scope perfectly level. Not sure if @Formidilosus can verify if these handle drops/impacts well?
They didn't hold zero on 36" drop, or you haven't dropped it 36"? I suspect the latter, just wanna be sure.So far my UM Tikka direct mount rings, and a set of NF ultralite 30mm 4 screws have held zero on decent impacts, not 36" tho.
Haven't dropped 36", but have had them make rough contact, tip overs onto ground or shop floor, and have all held zero. They didn't hold zero on 36" drop, or you haven't dropped it 36"? I suspect the latter, just wanna be sure.
Mk V as in leupold mk5? That scope has a very poor reputation for holding zero. Or you mean Weatherby Mk V?Following, trying to find the bomb proof option for my MK V that will also keep my scope nice and low.

If you don't mind the weight the NF steels rings or similar with good cross bolts that torque 55# or more to a rail will be the strongest. Next would be 7075 with the same cross bolt setup. 6061 has too much elongation for a ring cap in my opinion. Warne told the Backfire youtube guy they couldn't make their top ring halves round, I wouldn't touch those things.
