List of drop tested mounts?

Not comprehensive, but NF Ultralight, Warne Mountain Tech, Tikka Sportsmatch, UM Tikka rings are all gtg. I also run a set of ARC M-Brace rings. I’ll bet they retain zero well, but that’s not verified yet.

They aren’t popular because of the weight, but Badger Ordinance steel or Leupold Mark 4 steel rings are easily stronger than any aluminum rings. This design hasn’t really changed since the 1980’s. Folks seem to enjoy switching ring brands every year, comparing pics of failed rings, and basking in the drama, so these aren’t for them - too boringly reliable. :)

Hawkins and Area419 are two ring brands I'd trust as well. Area419's rod guides to prevent uneven torquing are pretty cool.

I will say, the ARC M-Brace are the easiest ring ever to mount a scope in. Very easy to get scope perfectly level. Not sure if @Formidilosus can verify if these handle drops/impacts well?

Mbrace rings and mounts are badass, just hefty. Hawkins rings had been problematic for me in past. Lightweight hard recoiling magnum. Screws kept coming loose, even when properly degreased and trq checked. This was years back prior to paint pens. I put blue loktite and all was well. Only issue I had with mbrace rings, was a Khales scope slipping under recoil, 338 rum. Once I positioned the objective bell up against the front front rings taper, it quit sliding.

I have Talley ultralights on 3 of my model 70 hunting rifles. They have been trouble free. I do bed the bases to the action with devcon 10110. Reading all the drop test threads and Talley failures has me rethinking this setup?
