Do you guys use liner socks? If so.... What kind/brand?

If you do not use liners.... why?
FoxRiver Liner Socks! They DOUBLE the amount of miles I can hike before my tender feet start to shred!

Them and "Darn Tough" brand socks together. That combo kicks ass!

Most was about 25mi in one two-day trip. Got my buck 2nd day, but it was super hot, so hiked him out to truck and cooler pronto, then went back to get the tent and all that other stuff on a 2nd trip back in the same day. It's about 6mi each way.

Once I forgot boots and wore plastic bags over my tennis shoes and did good 😂
Forgot my boots one time. The Nike's didn't do half bad. Much more sore though at end of day. And also missed a turn in the trail... then had to pioneer to catch back up with partner where I could see trail line switchback above. Man that was a mistake!

Was mercilessly hot, and steep, so didn't wanna have to back-track. Looked like it'd be not to bad to just pioneer up to that next trail switch-back and shortcut it. But traction was a bear! Was soo bad. Had to step on the backs of grass tufts so their roots would finally give me the needed traction to ascend in this one spot... and then?.. EFF me.... a Baby Rattler!!! He comes into view of my head. He was sunning himself on a small piece of flat I desperately needed to get onto! So here I am... stuck... on this steep hill...heavy pack...already was whipped to begin with because of the heat... and my calves are just twitching and trembling from the strain and begging me for mercy! And the damn Baby Rattler is taking FOR-EV-ER to finally relax and realize I'm not a threat and that he can leave. I'm all like arguing with him "GO!!! Just GO ALREADY!!!!...GO!!! YOU'RE FINE!!! JUST GO ALREADY!!!!". Thankfully the younger dude I was with saw this all playing out and descended that little bit of ways to me from the switchback above and offered to take my pack up to the trail line. Oh and then? Psssh.. we hike a lil around a corner to be in the shade so I can plop down and suck down some water and let me legs cool back down... and then "OWWW!!!" on the back of my waistline! Pssh... didn't see anything on the trail line, but apparently I sat down where some Fire ants were nearby, lovely... juuuust lovely.

Poly liners help reduce friction/chance of blisters.

Only issue I’ve had is on 8 day hunt(I packed 2 pair) 1st pair start to stretch after day 5 and lead to hot spots. Switched out fresh pair and no issue

Military I lived by them I used silk dress socks (or the black dress socks you could get at any base PX in a pinch). Wool top socks with a silk liner were a life saver especially on long rucks in all leather combat boots.

are you guys using the nu-wool or the coolmax injinji liner socks?
IMHO, these are in a class by themselves. My Sheep partner got me to try them, and I will not mountain hunt without them. I had used liners on and off before too, but these work so much better. I think because with them between the toes, they stay put better.

I always use the Smartwoools. Not sure I "need" them, but I've used them for so long I just don't want to change.

REI polypro liners and Darn Tough Merino outers. I used to blister something awful... but haven't had issues in 20 years or so.

I like cool max liners under smart wool or farm to feet light to medium weight merinos.
