Lightweight stock options

I have two Greyboe stocks on M700 clones in the 41oz range. They are very stiff and easy to shoot will, but they are unnecessarily heavy for hunting guns.

One of them is getting replaced by a Stocky's VG2.

Another vote for Peak44 Bastion. Not a fan of the recoil pad for heavier calibers but a 243 would be cake. Very straight recoil impulse, good weight, great bag ride, and easy handling. I have several stockys as well including the VG2 but prefer the Bastion.

The trigger reach from Stockys is indeed too long, but it’s a simple mod and I’d be happy to do it for you if you aren’t into DIY stuff.

I’ve shot a lot of stocks and it’s still amongst my favorites that I’ve used after trigger reach modification.

Hey Tanner,

The site won't let me direct message you. Maybe because I'm too new? Wondering if you could send me a message so I could discuss having you do this to a stock for me.

Thanks!

I really like the following for light weight and all shooting positions, especially prone. It's about as light as you can get. They have an ~16 week lead time. Vertical grip, negative comb, butt in line with bore, with the focus of light weight, it's my favorite:

I've not used it with a 700, only Tikka's.
