I’m pretty curious as well - I’ve been back and forth on using an 8 or 10x30 bino primarily. Hunting mule deer is the only time I really seem to want a full size bino......

I did look thrungh the cl 10x30, eye relief is less than 14mm if that matters whereas the 8 is 16mm. The 8 is slightly brighter as you would imagine.

In timber for me, I value fov more when distances may not exceed 100 yards. Sometimes I'll even grab my 6x30 Yosemites if it's really thick and no chance of a meadow to scan. Fwiw.

Jump over to Natchez, they had some demo CL (new model around $950).

If you want real compact + performance find an Ultravid 8x32. I just found a used pair, much smaller than a EL.
