Hello, I am trying to make a lightweight 1022 for my little brother to use for the cmp sporter competition at 4h nationals. I need to make the total weight with a scope and magazine under 7.5 pounds, 120 ounces. The weight of the scope, rings, base and magazine is 23 Oz. He is going to be using a kidd classic slip fit action with a lightweight fluted barrel. Do you guys have any stock recommendations or different barrel recommendations to stay under that number?

The stocks he is looking at are the luth ar chassis, magpul x22 moe, Victor titan lt and the hogue overmold although we have accurate concerns with the hogue.

I just have the standard magpul. It;s pretty light. I have a Kidd barrel on mine but it is the heavier 20" fluted. I can't believe you would have a problem with one of their shorter lighter fluted ones and that magpul. I bought the Magpul through Kidd on sale as well. I just replaced the internals of the stock action with Volquartzen stuff.1022update.jpg
