Light(ish) weight ball head for glassing/shooting

Do all the bh 30lr heads have a pan feature, or only the one with the compact panning clamp style?

Yea they all have a panning base, the one you’re referring to has an additional panning clamp plate as well so it pans with either. I’ve never used that one though so I don’t know how well the panning plate works.

I borrowed a two vets tripod recently but unsure of head's etc
