What does everyone recommend for lift kits? Was just going to level it but decided to give it 3-4 inches instead of leveling.

Is rough country still highly recommended ?

Interested as well. What vehicle do you have? I've heard to stay away from rough country. I've been told to go BDS.

BDS or Zone, depending on your application these two are widely accepted as top shelf options

Level it. That 4" lift kit is going to move your differential about 2" off the ground and will destroy your fuel mileage while your at it.

I've always thought roughcountry was like the Walmart/Great Value level of suspension components.

And yes, that lift is going to kill your mpg and increase wear and tear on your rig.

If you go with a lift.(not recommended as stated above,)
Make sure its one that does not require cutting the front diff mounts, cant go back to stock without a new front diff

Go with a adjustable coilover set up, I have the icon stage 2 suspension system on my truck. Dual rate rear coil springs and adjustable height coilovers. Levels the front with 3 inch lift and raises the rear 1.5. Many brands offer these set ups. If you do buy a lift stay away from rough country and some cheap lifts don’t have diff drops so your axles will get hammered. I’m a tech and have worked on many lifts and installed quite a few.

What truck? For show or off road work?
I’ve been using rough country lift for over 20 years hauling firewood and local hunting use off road.
old leaf spring K20 chev’s is what I have. Had a 74 until rust ate her and then spent last summer stripping drivetrain and rear ends and putting it all in a 86 K20.
not a show truck.

How are you axel angles with this setup, Did you do a different drop?

4" lift? What's you current gear ratio? Are you going to re gear? What size tires? Rough country is junk stay away...
Old man Emu, Carli Suspension, then probably BDS or zone. YMMV

Axles are pretty level, not enough for any joint strain.

I have had several lifted trucks. I recommend not to lift. I do a leveling kit but that is it. It’s long term effect on suspension and tires. Also remember this. If it’s a chevy 99% of the time they have to cut out the cross member and there is no going back

When I comes to ifs trucks rough country is the junk of the junk.

A level lift with bilstien 5100 is typically the best option.

A both kinda guy but I like the increased dampening of a slightly higher quality shock.
