I'm looking for opinions on upgrading an original liberty mystic suppressor to the mystic X core. This would increase the caliber rating up to 300 WM. The cost is $415 for the service. Does anyone have any experience with this upgrade and feel it's worth the cost? Would I be better off putting the money towards a new suppressor? I currently have designated suppressors for .22 and .223 will have a .30 cal when I get my Harvestor EVO out of jail.

Sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't find anything in the search.

I have no experience with the mystic X but it was on my short list before I bought my griffin. I think suppressors have come so far since that can was new that it would be more cost effective to find a more modern can. Fwiw, there are several cans available now that are full auto rated with no barrel length restrictions in the 10oz range. That’s where I’ll be putting my $$.

Thanks for the reply. I feel my money would be better spent on a newer suppressor also. The only thing that has me leaning the other way is the wait time for the Harvester and no .30 cal can in hand that can handle higher pressures. Patience....

I looked it up for sh*** and grins. If I’m reading the description correctly, barrel restriction for anything over 45k psi is 16”? That’s not bad, most people would never own (much less hunt with) a rifle with a barrel shorter than 16”. I still think I’d at least do a bunch of research on some other options. I’m pretty heavily invested in griffin taper mounts because they’re lightweight and simple. That’s where my search normally starts.
