I posted this because I thought it was funny...North Face virtue signals and the oil industry calls them out for it....nothing to do with snowflakes it's just always funny to watch a virtue-signaling PR campaign backfire.

It is remarkable though watching corporations align themselves with leftist ideas on every social issue in existence even though it has always been the left who were supposedly anti big corporations and both of them soak it up so that they can bathe in the virtue, same with the NBA, MLB and NFL, and never forget Gillete and Toxic Masculinity, hillarious actually.

Again, this was a request for a co-brand, not just an embroidery job. TNF didn’t deny a request to sell them jackets, the company could have bought 400 jackets and had them embroidered. This was a specific request for a co brand. I wonder if the initial request wasn’t just a plot for the gas company to bring attention to themselves and then the CEO of another company in the same industry jumped on the PR bandwagon with a crafted speech, a bunch of folks pile in on the “virtue signaling” bit and then the oil and gas industry just ran a successful PR campaign. TNF brand wasnt likley hardened in any way, and the OG industry for PR.

Much to do about nothing.

Wait are you saying that most companies/industries will twist and turn things to fit the narrative they want to push?

co-brand what does that even mean, putting your logo on a product doesn't mean you're in a partnership or being sponsored

Patagonia did the same thing last year IIRC...my company used to be able to get Patagonia products with our logo on it for promotional SWAG not anymore...last time I check we could still get TNF stuff with company logo but that been a couple months ago...Its just proves these companies are making way too much profit if they are willing to turn down orders.

Co-brand is assembled in a way that the two brands appear to be aligned. Sort of a sponsorship. For example, if First Lite did a BHA hat in FL proprietary camo, that would be a co brand.

I routinely buy and eat beef, own some leather shoes, but don’t particularly find that grazing permits align with my interests for the preservation and use of public lands.

See how that works?

You seem to be the emotional one....

How did you all of a sudden make the jump to BHA?

Seriously, do you just sit in your Mom’s basement in your underwear, eating potato chips hoping for a chance to trash BHA online?
First post...lol.

When I asked Land how he expected to get traction against cattle on public land in an effort to save the grouse....and their billboard photo was a grouse.....with a cow, both feeding....it became the doorway to me seeing where the money was going.

They may not be anti what I love, infact I align well with their image, but certainly not with Tawny's attitude and transparency.

That's how. My opinion.

Feel free to share some knowledge of the outdoors, gear or ask a pertinent question.....but throwing moms into the mix is not likely to gain you much respect from many.

So at pint night make sure you tell your bois that someone didn't agree with bha so you threw out the moms to really get some respect for the enactment of huntable lands and fishable waters.

I'm not sure you understand how post counts work

I don't think that's his first post

Perhaps.......but those grazing permits probably align with you being able to get leather products and eating beef that is still somewhat affordable. We all pick and choose based on what aligns with our own demands, perceptions, and principles for all products, and there are always tradeoffs within those alignments. If people tried to base their buying habits solely on one ideological principle, they'd most likely never be buying anything.......including food.

Certainly aligns with cheap beef, but if MR cattle rancher with a public lands grazing permit whose cows overgraze prime elk habitat asked me to wear his branded t shirt around town to promote the fact this his permits slow for cheap beef, I’d tell him to go kick rocks.

Imagine the impact on the environment if every person that believes their cars are heating up the planet would just stop driving them.

Actions speak louder than words

About what I expected, dance around the question and not really answer anything, good for you....

First post? Uhhh...nope, I’ve actually been on this forum long enough to remember when it didn’t just have a bunch of people who want to just throw their ignorant bullshit out every chance they get.

Got anything relevant to add or just here to try to bash BHA to make yourself look cool?

Seriously, can you intelligently tell me why and how you made the jump to BHA completely out of nowhere? I’m gonna guess no since you can’t even figure out post count on a forum 🤣

I realize my reply is off topic but just trying to shed light.

I’d bet my life savings Mr Cattle Rancher has 0 input on how many cattle he can graze. He’s just lucky he got the permit for cheap. Have a problem with how public lands are being managed, talk to your state senators and wildlife biologists. Also side note, if you don’t buy local processed beef you can’t ever say anything about the price of beef. Most of the garbage beef you buy at any store comes from out of the US.

Sorry for the rant.

They're both trying to play both sides of the same coin. Frauds.

Enjoy your pint.
