Super simple zero system, no clutch. Has a cool little groove that makes aligning zero easy. I did a video on it for the review.

Cool, sounds like it might be similar to the VX6 ZL2 system, just with better erectors and all of that to make it track better.

If I would have seen these when I bought my Nightforce NXS I would have went with the Leupold Mark 5HD for sure. Maybe one of these days I will have the money to change out scopes....I like the nightforce, but its not as clear and crisp as the Mark 5

Been looking at the 5-25 for my 300 RUM that's getting rebarreled currently. Not sure I am ready for ffp yet but want to give it a try. Interested in your results.

Is this your 300RUM +p?? And if so can you bump that thread- having issues finding it.

Ryan and the rest running the bigger mark5's (5-25/7-35) what height rings are you using? Wondering if I could use ones around .95 or if I should go taller? Just ordered a 5-25 and a 3.6-18 to go on two new rifles I just had built.

The gunsmith working on my rifle said that was the rings he was going to mount my mark 5 with. I even questioned it, because I was concerned about 35mm size. But was happy to hear could get them.

I traded emails with Hawkins a month or so ago asking if they would have 35MM rings anytime soon and their response was something along the lines of "we are monitoring the market and the demand for this size, but currently have no plans to produce them." Or something along those lines....

Keep us posted and let us know if you actually get Hawkins rings.

I've been running some Pure precision rings over the last 6 weeks and I'm very impressed. They're a 1" height and machined both top and bottom as a matched set, and serialized. Got two Mark 5 HD's here in the shop that I've got them for. $169 is retail on them. We torqued them to over 75 FOOT LBS before the screw heads snapped off but the clamps never even budged... they're stout :)

Will be putting them up on the website tomorrow hopefully!

Mike
