Leukotape P tape removes skin

To the op - I think maybe leaving it on longer will help it not pull skin off you. I've never taken it off before 3 days. Like others have said, I've showered multiple times and had it last a week.
That is a valid point and I will try that next time thank you. I never thought of that but the previous times of using the tape it had been left on for 3+ days.

Almost makes moleskin obsolete, although I've never used Leukotape on my bow yet, I still use moleskin on my sight to keep incidental arrow contact quiet

i love the stuff. i never wear it for "quick" uses..mine goes on and stays on for mulit day hikes. maybe that is why it removed some skin? dont know.

at home on jogs..i use cheap bandaides.

Anyone tried this with the cover tape or whatever they call it? Supposedly that gives on before the leukotape. I'm about to order some of the tape regardless.

I bought some last fall after reading good reviews on this website. my buddies daughter was starting to blister up and him and I were getting
hot spots . took a 10 montiinute break and taped up. saved the day for us. we were extremely careful pulling off tape because it sure sticks on you. will continue to use, but I will remind all I borrow it to, to be careful taking off and to tape up as early as possible.

Can y'all share the techniques for proper taping?

If you think you may have a red spot that will blister, cut a tiny piece of the tape to cover the hot spot and stick it to the back of a larger piece of tape and apply it over the area. That way there won't be any sticky on top of a potential problem area. I used duct tape to do the same thing for decades but it doesn't breathe as well as Leukotape and the skin can macerate. Rounding the corners like Ray suggested is essential, IMO. I learned the hard way to keep tape and a tiny pair of scissors accessible, not buried in my pack, so I had no reason to delay treating a hot spot. A chest pack like a Hill People Gear Kit Bag makes this easy.

I have been using L tape for quite sometime. The only other thing I can add is if your feet are damp from water or sweat from being in boots all day give them time to dry out before you remove the old tape or put on new tape.

Just got some delivered from Amazon...9.99...anxious to try this season as I've always used some kind of tape (even duct tape last season) starting day one as I always have one small hotspot on heel when I'm in the steep stuff. Considering I only hunt 5 days, this roll should last a while:)

One more thing that I just remembered. In very cold temps if not protected the glue on the tape can freezer.I now keep my roll of tape inside the pack not in the lid or outside pockets. Its a bear when the roll freezes!!

I also love this tape and was turned into it last year from this site. I didn't re-read this whole thread to see if it was mentioned but I've heard Aron say not to remove it from the original roll and apply it to another surface like a credit card for easier carrying like some guys do. Apparently it will lose some of its adhesive properties. That said, that's exactly what I did last year before I knew that and it worked ok but maybe it did lose some adhesion. So using directly from the roll is what I've heard is recommended.

got my roll, going to try it out on my next training circuit. I'm curious how it will do with my sweaty feet...

Agree on the loss of stiction after coming off the roll. The glue appears to be air activated so the off roll tape is much softer and easier to pull off.
