Any redness in the area where your tape was is very likely a contact dermatitis and is self limiting after removing the tape.

Not tape but I have some issues with some things. Heavy perfumed soaps can cause it. Smart wool socks don’t work for me for the same reasons.

Try some different tape options. Sport tape is good. I get good results out of straight duct tape. Gorilla tape doesn’t adhere to my skin well.

Making me nervous. I just bought some, despite Amazon reviews showing people with this issue, and now this thread. How long did it take for the rash to dissipate?

Only issue I had is I pulled it off the day I put it on...I couldn't walk right for a couple days!

I’m almost two weeks in and it’s almost healed up. Although annoying it wasn’t painful, better than blisters. I’ll probably still use the tape if needed. My feet sweat like crazy and it’s the only tape that I’ve found that will stay on for a full day of hiking

I use leukotape for some applications as an athletic trainer, usually on shoulders, knees, and feet. Most of the people I put it on start getting some irritation around day 3, and it seems more heat/sweat/humidity seems to increase that. On the heel where there is more callus I've had people go close to a week without irritation though. Some people are just more sensitive to the adhesive. If you have irritation for more than a couple hours after removing the tape it just might not work for you. Try to remove the tape and re-apply more frequently, like as soon as s it starts to feel irritated, and see if that helps.

They do make some skin-prep products that are supposed to decrease irritation by forming a barrier on the surface of the skin, but I don't have experience with them. A search on Amazon yields some wipes that would be cheap to try though.
